Chinese Crested

A hairless breed, the Chinese Crested originated in China. Not good kennel dogs, the Chinese Crested is a good family breed, not aggressive towards children or other animals. The are known to do well in agility and obedience. There are two coat varieties of the Chinese Crested, the Hairless and the Powder Puff. They are non-shedding and hypo-allergenic, ideal for allergy sufferers. They can be any colour, or any combination of colours. With an average lifespan of 12-14 years, the Chinese Crested is prone to health problems, including progressive retinal atrophy, patellar luxation, cerebellar ataxia, allergies and autoimmune diseases.
