Perro de Presa Canario

A large molossor-type breed, the Perro de Presa Canario originated in Spain. The breed has a short coat that can be any shade of fawn or brindle. Perro de Presa Canarios require early obedience training and socialization, as they can be aggressive towards other dogs and suspicious of strangers. With an average lifespan of 8-12 years, the Perro de Presa Canario is prone to hip dysplasia, dilated cardiomyopathy, cancer, patellar luxation, skin cysts, epilepsy, and cryptorchidism.
