Skye Terrier

A breed of terrier, the Skye Terrier originated in Scotland. The breed has a double coat that is fawn, blue, dark grey, light grey, blonde, or black with black points in colour. A hunting dog, the Skye Terrier needs an outdoor area to run, as well as a short to moderate length walk with its owner. Bonding to their owners, the breed does not do well as a kennel dog, preferring to live inside. The Skye Terrier is prone to Degenerative Disc Disease, Mammary cancer, hemangiosarcomas, immune disease, is hyperthyroidism.
